Blank/Dimensions for "Retro Egg"

I’m looking to try to make a somewhat lighter (and smaller) version of my 7’6" Cooperfish Comet (Round Pintail “egg-type” shape: something similar to Harbor’s Spherical Revolver or the Weber’s Feather Fastback) as my first shape. The Comet has become my favorite all-around small wave board, but I’d like to make one with a singlefin box for travel.

Anyway, I’m thinkin’ 7’4" in length but need help with Clark blank selection and dimensions (ie how to scale it down) if anybody has ideas.

msacht,

Go to the Syalock’s search and type in scaling up or down. There’s lots of info on this. Mike

I was checkin’ out the 8’3"E and the 7’11"R for the project. Any thoughts? Are these too big for a 7’4" or 7’6" shape?

-Matt.

I’d suggest 7’ 9"" E by Mike EATON, just offhand. It’s got plenty of volume and a wide enough outline for any retro-egg.
