can anyone tell me how to make a blank? i’ve always wanted to truly make a board from start to finish… including making the blank. i dont necessarily need a mold or anything… i just want to make a piece of block foam. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks! -steve

Bear in mind, its unlikely anything youll make on your own will begin to approach the overall quality and consistency of a commercially produced surfboard blank... but that fact still leaves a lot of room for some satisfying projects! A good place to begin exploring is Hastings Plastics in Santa Monica, CA at 1704 Colorado Ave., (310)829-3449; Ive found them to be very educational and helpful.
