hey everyone. i just finished the resin swirl on my fourth board. this board is a lot of firsts for me. it’s my first fish shape (6’0" x 22 1/2" x 3 1/8") which means it was my first attempt at a swallow tail. also, i decided to put a black and blue swirl on it. it may have been a little arrogant (or stupid) of me to try and glass my first swallow while doing my first swirl, but i think it came out pretty good. just wanna thank everyone for all the info that they’ve provided (especially austin with the resin swirl info). the next question is quad or twin fin. any suggestions?
on that shape id put keels
straight ahead and double foiled
well done
EPS?
nice board
i would agree and put keels on that fish but then again i just love a good keel fish
Looks really nice. I love that swirl. Looks like marble or something.
Nice work, any shots of the completed board? I just want to see what fins you went with.
yes, it’s eps with rr epoxy. i’m just starting the hotcoat this week, but first i gotta put some pinstrips on it. i’m still undecided on the fins. i was leaning toward a quad set up, but i may keep the retro feel and go with twin fins or maybe some keel fins…
