Board #7 in Progress-Fishy x4

Hey everyone, just thought I’d post up a few shots of the ongoing work on my latest-5’10.5"x20"x2 5/8" double bump quad-orange tint both sides, fabric inlay fins. Want to gloss and polish this one, but no gloss resin available at the moment so it’ll get a gloss acrylic spray from my mate.

Now just gotta build the leash loop, glass on fins, hotcoat, sand, and spray…hopefully all before the next good swell!

…it’s nice to see other homemade small fabric inlay fins around , good on ya mate !

Those fins are the coolest! Is that a Maori print? Anyways, that board will be da kine.

What a cool idea to drop some pattern lam in a fin layup–finding some marbled paper patterns and Damascus steel on Google images

More pics!

Big thanks for all the kind words guys, hopefully she’ll go well too! Lillibel-there’s a cool range of fabrics down here called Kiwiana, lots of Maori prints, birds and cool designs. Good to raid the wife’s sewing box!
