My project is a Quad conversion on a windsurf board, its small ,7'8" 21" wide, tail is 13" , its 69 liters, a high wind wave board, single concave. It has a center single fin box which will remain.
My intent is to try all the fin configurations, as tri fin, Quad and 5 fin, my terms may be a bit out of place here, sorry. I'm using ProBox boxes and fins, I have side bites for the tri fin , and 3 different Quad sets, and a 4 1/2 " center fin.
I would like to try USING all 5 fins , most other fin option are used in windsurfers, but have yet to see 5 fins.
Should I use a bonzer style set in the quad placements ? VS the dedicated Quad sets I have .
I would greatly appreciate any opinions/feedback pros cons on the setup for 5 fins. I'm using a fairly standard LONGboard quad set up for fin placement, 1 " from the rail, 11 3/4 from the tail to trailing fin shapers mark , rear toe 3/16" front toe 1/4", lead fin is 16 3/4" too leading edge.
