...personally , I don't have a twin keel 'FISH' as such [ie: with the deep buttcrack , fish tail , and wide tail pod [tip to tip measurement] , but I AM keen to try this setup in the wide-tailed [diamond tailed] Walden I have .
So, to throw it more open [in case none of the 10,000 plus people here [?!] have tried it , or want to share their experiences] ...
has ANYONE used " bonzer-canted " twin keels in , say, a 'mini-simmons' , or a wide-tailed stub [eg: 6' x 21" x 14-16" nose , 16" tail , with , oh say, a 10" tail pod [corner to corner measurement]
cheers

I just had a bonzer shaped for me, based on a beat up campbell bros. that was given to me years ago. I had it shortened from 5’10 to 5’8, the rocker flatened out with updated rails and tail shape. I haven’t ridden it yet (just picked it up today), but Im taking it out to San Diego next week and can give a full report when I get back. Im using the FCS B-5s, along with a true ames bonzer conter fin. Im also gonna give the small box center fin with the 1.5" overhang.
nice !
shots of the fins , please ?
and , how far up from the tail are those back plugs , please ?
it would be interesting to try some keels , angled out [?22 degrees?] in the back plugs , and see how THAT feels ?
hey , and ...welcome to swaylocks , by the way !
cheers

thanks for the warm welcome -
I actually don’t have fins yet, they are back ordered at the moment, but Ill take pictures as soon as I get them. by the way, does anyone else make bonzer fins for fcs plugs? apparently no one on the east coast has a set.
Not sure on the measurement for those back fins, but Ill throw a tape on it and let you know when I get home later on.
ok, so I can’t find FCS bonzer fins anywhere, at all. does anyone know where I might be able to find a set in/near San Diego? Im heading that way this weekend with the board in hopes Ill be able to find something.
otherwise - any recomendations on other fin set ups? I was thinking a normal quad set up might do it, but the boxes just seem way too far forward for that (the plug closest to the tail is 11" from it). maybe a tri-set up? Im open to ANY suggestions…I just want to ride this board! (excuse my lack of patience, Ive been holed up in Philadelphia all winter and havent seen water that isnt frozen in MONTHS)
also, sorry for hijacking this thread. Im obviously new and didn’t want to start a new thread just for my bs)
