The Campbell Bros. website speaks of the hottest longboard around (words to that effect) in the form of the EB5, a collaboration between them and Max McDonald. But the website seems to be perpetually light on information like good photos of it or any other board they make, or where to get hold of one. Their “community” page seems to be loaded with people who are anxiously awaiting a new board or wanting to get in line for one. I already have a 6-8 5 fin bonzer that I got used, but I’m curious about price and availability of the EB5. Thanks.

Thanks. E-mail Malcolm thru the Campbell Bros. web site with your name and phone #. He’s going to call everyone on the list this weekend. The E-Wing 5-Fin long board is flat out the best modern long board I’ve ever ridden. And everyone who trys one agrees.

Thanks. If you live in Sothern Ca. give Ventura Surf Shop a call, as they carry Campbell Bros. boards, and may in fact have one of the boards you mentioned.

Hey Mike this is a treat to have you posting here!!! You probably don’t remember but I met you in Costa Rica back in 92 or 93. I was one of the guys from Georgia who were staying at the Iguanazul. Remember the aborted monkey mission? Man, I didn’t know it could rain that hard! Anyway glad to have ya aboard and look forward to your input!

Is that the one made in China by ACME with your name on it, or are you “making” one back over here in the good ole’ US of A? Just a question? … have fun
I have a 9’6" Eaton fun gun and after surfing over 35 years,it is still one of my all time favorite boards. Coral - I thought you had some class! http://www.johnnyrice.com/fins.html

Thanks. Seems like the idea would negatively impact noseriding by out running noseride section like too long of a board. Sounds like a good idea for a speed egg or midlength though.
I have a Zinger and I love it. Still curious about the “mystique” of the Campbell Bros. board though.

Maybe Mr. Eaton could tell me! Do you have the answer to that? I’ve always wondered about your fun gun, thanks! … have fun
sorry Coral - it sounded like a sarcastic insult. I love you man!

They work well in ALL applications As far as the “mystic” of a Malcolm Campbell shaped Bonzer, would you rather see the cover band “Wild Child” or would you rather see The Doors. Out running nose ride sections? Try walking back and then cutting back.

Out running nose > ride sections? Try walking back and then cutting back. I have two of Mike Eaton’s bonzers. They are the fastest longboards(10’& 11’) that I own. As for cutting back, and stalling that is easier said then done. You are through the section before you even know it. Mike will tell you him self that they are not nose riders. You can get up on the nose, but the board just fly through, like a bat out of hell. Up here in Santa Cruz at some of our point brakes on a big day, they are the board of choise. I think everyone should have one in there quiver, when the day calls for it take it out and play with it, you will be happy you did. Oh ya Hi Mike thinks for all the years you have put into surfing and surfboards, you are one of the best in the business, Joe’s pertty good also.
