Bonzer Nugget?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been doing some thinking and searching archives but still feel the need to discuss this.

I read a comment once by duncan campbell saying ‘the bonzer system will make any board better’

But the nugget being such a weird design I don’t know how it would perform with those concaves?

What would a Nugget say about 5ft9 19’ 2 3/4’ go with a 12’ back fin box, so it could stil be ridden as a single.

and 4 fcs plugs so you could ride as a two plus one, bonzer, thruster etc.

So how would the 5ft9’ 19’ 2 3/4’ stadard nugget ride with 4 bonzer angled 2’ runners and a 6’ back fin with the deep double concaves go?

I’m just really interested…

Thanks,

Josh.

mate, the most important aspect of the nugget is the “loaded dome,” the convew bottom that looks like geoff attached a shallow wok to the back of the board. without that, it’s not a nugget…

Yeah, you’d have to give up either the Bonzer concaves or the Nugget dome and rolled V, either of which would make your board just plain …different.

Some new Bonzers have the wide tail, narrow pointy nose, similar to Nuggets, but full Bonzer concaved bottoms.

Nugget bottom with all those fins might be OK actually, providing added holding power.

I’d say, go for it, but a 10" center box should be sufficient.

Cheyne rode a Malcome five finner with a keel fin and from what Duncan told me he ripped on it.

Look at Mccoy’s site and go to his explanation of fins. I think that is a very simply explanation.
