Boo-sand?!? build

Cheers. Don't look too closely though!

hey brian at hardcore has a drum of RR btw

i have used some shit resins before and i think something to do with some problems is when they are put in a paint TIN. the laquer reacts. i had a litre of resin research go lumpy to the point of being unusable in the tin. also another brand i used that i stored in tin was horrible and didnt cure very well.

those ones with the really smelly hardeners are pretty crappy

oh yeah we have lots of swell and good banks. im too sick to surf today

2by 4 surf hour sessions with the flu and the water is so cold this year.

should be right for some insane barrel time over the next weeks

Really nice Karl.

Ride reports!

Had four sessions now after a bit of a flat spell.

First was a waist to chest high windswell. Not that great but just enough to get it going. Skates across flat sections well.

Then chest to head high with a little more push but a little sectiony. Good down the line and floating small sections. Gets up to speed quickly.

Next was chest high that quickly got to a couple of foot overhead. Steep fast drops on the big sets, then flat to steep but sectioning quickly. The board went well on the steep ones - easy to nurse down, and plenty of section beating drive.

Finally today was waist to shoulder high, slightly onshore but with enough form to hack a few turns.

So overall it goes well. I was wondering what the slightly heavier weight over my all balsa version would do, but at about 300 grams it's not really noticeable.

Hard to say what the flex is doing - fully flat bottom and quad set up so it's got plenty of drive anyway. And I only really noticed the flex on the compand version hooking really tight turns in the lip or pocket, or squirting around sections after a steep drop. Might need some time to break the flex in????

So it's a keep really.

Off to northern NSW coast next week for 11 days so will give it a good go and report back!
