Book O' Boards

I have found myself swept up in the world of surfboard shape evolution. Bing Noseriders, reversed rocker Con’s, glass slippers, velzy pigs… Does anyone know of a book that list all these classic boards (long and, or short). Something that gives a run down of these shapes and the theories behind them. A apprasial guide, if such a thing exist, would also be a must have on my list. Anyone?

I don’t know if you find what your looking for but it’s interesting reading nontheless. They even have a surfmat from 1933(!) in the list. regards, Håvard

Russ, you might try that “other” forum. I seem to remember WFL1958 claiming to have such a book that he uses to look up values when he does his trading.

Surf’s Up: Collecting the Longboard Era ISBN: 076431355X This book is a cool pictoral and historical reference, but I couldn’t say if it gives accurate prices. It’s by no means close to comprehensive, but it’s nice to look at.>>> I have found myself swept up in the world of surfboard shape evolution. > Bing Noseriders, reversed rocker Con’s, glass slippers, velzy pigs… Does > anyone know of a book that list all these classic boards (long and, or > short). You can see that template in every modern day thruster…amazing.
