I just butchered my last 10-1 Y with a crappy attempt to add some colour on the foam. Should I try to sand off the offending spray job - or has the colour saturated too deep into the foam ?

Too deep, don’t ruin what I assume is a good shape with an attempt to sand it off.
Do an opaque lam when you glass it, and get that color in there THICK! Make your tape for your cutlap a couple layers thick so you can find it by “feel”, since if you made the lamination opaque enough to cover the mess, then you won’t be able to see your tape either.
