Hey, I have a buddy who lent me this board to try. I loved the thing. Super neutral (it always seemed to find itself), yet I still could go really vertical. Anyone know what the basic bottom layout is? I didn’t even think to look at the time (in water… head+ clean). I really want to incorporate this into my basic thruster template. Thanks…
I have 2 R Pro-jects. One is standard PU construction, the other is an XTR epoxy. The PU one has fairly low, soft rails forward and harder rails thru the back half of the board. Bottom contours are: a subtle single concave forward with nestled double concaves towards the back half with some vee thru the tail cluster (a REAL vee- when resting deck-down, the stringer is higher than the rail-lines) finishing just behind the center fin, exiting fairly flat thru the last few inches of the tail. The epoxy one does not have the vee, but rather has concaves running thru the tail cluser. I agree with your description of neutral behavior regarding the PU one; the epoxy one is more drivey but not as “free” and neutral feeling.
