But what took you so long to post pics?

Hi Nativeson,
I´m up in Rio and have been chatting about getting a fish over on the Magic Seaweed forum (best forum in UK BTW) for a while now.
When does a fish become an egg? Are there any major differences except for the length and tail?
BTW do you sell your boards and if so do you have a site?
hey,
in my very humble opinion, they are completely different shapes. some people make fish up to 8’ and i have an egg that is 6’, so length isn’t really the determining factor.
eggs are easier to ride, and are typically more ‘high performance’ than fish. the tails are narrower, and round. the rails are usually more modern, with a tucked edge. eggs have rocker similar to a shortboard, wide points in the center, and all this means it will be able to do tricks like a shortboard, while catching waves easier due to the increased volume.
fish, tend to have flatter rocker, the widest point significantly ahead of center, and very wide tails. they are best suited for down the line speed, and big turns on the shoulder. they usually have a hard edge almost to the center of the board before rounding out up to the nose. they are waves catching machines, best in long point break type waves.
i know that if anyone else reads this, they will point out that there are variables and exceptions to all of this. it all depends on who shaped it for what…
i do sell boards, and will PM you my info. thanks for your interest.
