Broke my leash

Hi all. The swivel in my leash broke a few days ago. The swivel is the kind you can remove using an allen key. As the leash is still in great shape I’d like to replace the swivel, but I can’t seem to find anyone that sells them. Anyone know where to get these. Thanks Dee

…what make is it Dee?Herb

Dee, Most leashes use 8MM brass swivels. They are used in commercial fishing applications. You could check with a fishing supply company. You could also check with the original leash manufacturer.

Hey Herb. It’s a David Nuuhiwa model knee leash, but the manufacturer tag is gone, so I’m not sure who made it! I’ll start checking the fishing equip as Tom suggested if nobody knows where to get these. Thanks Dee

…Don’t know where you are,fjsherman’s hardware in Longbeach,Ca.(I think there’s one in H.B. TOO!)has everything.Herb

You can get fishing swivels at any halfway decent marine/fishing store. But if you spend more than an hour trying to figure out where to get the swivel you are wasting your time so you should just get a new leash and hang on to the old one for parts. If you do find a supplier with the correct swivel, be certain to buy several so you can keep spares in your car.
