I wanna get a fish. What’s the pros, cons and different riding characteristics of the Steve Brom shaped fish boards and the Kingfish shaped by Pat Ryan? I wish I could get both. Anyone ride one or both of these boards so to compare?

Kingfish is pretty reasonably priced. I’ve owned 2, it’s like a one board quiver, FAST FAST FAST, paddles well, nice & loose too. Pat’s the man! can’t go wrong here!
How do they handle in larger surf? Just not limited to small stuff? I never used it in surf over 6 foot ( now you come to the disscusion how big is 6 foot and how do I measure that). It’s not the face that I mean, the face would be somthing like 10 maybe. For my personal experience its was not so much the height that is a problem, but in hollower(faster)surf the take of is harder. It also has to do with the kind of surf you have, big point surf is not much of a problem, but I mostly surf beach break waves. If you know european surf, big hossegor (la piste) is hard and big Rodilles no problem. (Big Hossegor would be somthing like puerto esc.)I know people ride Brom fishes up to 15 ft. Rincon. ( the boardsize of mine is 6.3, my new one is 6.0 and should be here some where this week) Peter Rijk.

Thanks , Davo I have a 7’8" that he made me years ago. The first time I rode it I threw my first rooster tail. I belive Max McDonald makes them out of EPS foam. It’s super light.
