If you use bubble wrap to vacuum a wood veneer onto a board, do you put the bubble side down or up? Does it ever leave dimples? Do you wrap around the rails? Is there a better (equally inexpensive) breather material?
not neccesary for gluing down skins
just some shade cloth taped to bottom of rocker table
or not at all.just a bit at the pipe fitting
I used bubble wrap, bubbles up, and got dimples. Some areas I wrapped the rails and the bubbles just popped.
There was some discussion here about solid sheets of plastic and pinholes, so if I were to use bubble wrap again I’d put the bubbles down to improve airflow over the glass. I think I’ll try to find shade cloth next time though.
