butterscotch resin tint

i’ve got a surfboard i’m restoring that i’d like to reglass with a butterscotch resin tint over the existing glass. i’ve never really done a resin tint before. it’s got some logos on it along with some noticeably repaired dings. if i put a butterscoth resin tint over it will the logos & diferrent colors from the dings be visible and showing through the resin tint? should i go with a dark red or something? regards, tom t.

I don’t think that reglassing over the old glass job is a good idea.If its an old beater I would just patch it up and ride it.If you have to you can paint it and tape around the logos…kinda hard to answer without more info.Just an opinion. R. Brucker

Tint won’t work over an existing glass job. You’ve gotta go opaque, and a deep one at that. Otherwise everything just turns splotchy. I think cleanlines has it right though. Patch and ride.
