My son is doing a Design Technology A level (something 17 year olds do in UK). He has followed Sways and researched much. It just has to be a hollow Carbon Board. So he is taking a mould of an old board and is happy with that. It’s all right, copyright issues have been dealt with and the shaper is happy!
What is needed is a cad image (Rhino, Solid works or something that will load on them) that he can use to illustrate the process and maybe doctor a bit to show some aspects of the project. The project is not about designing a board but making a hollow one.
Can anybody help with the image. Neither of us have the CAD skills to draw a board that even begins to look half decent!
i can probably help. are you looking for a shaded or wireframe screen shot of a board that was designed using a 3d CAD package? What are the dims of the board in question?
Hi Kirk, thanks for the prompt reply and the offer!
The board is 6’. Ideally I’m after a wireframe IGES, STL or STEP which will open in Rhino. I have Flamingo so son can do a good render and photo image. I have tried Boardcad and similar and love it, but have never managed to transfer the designs to the Cad programs I have access to.
I fear a screenshot will not work with what is planned.
But whatever you can do would be hugely appreciated.
