Hey Chip, Thanks for the pics. I’m reserving a seat on it any time you want since you supplied the blank, (remember how thick it was) we’ll have to show Colin too but he might start charging us for his leftovers.
Speaking to my financial adviser tonight to see if I can squeeze some out for glass and epoxy for this weekend, 35 deg on Saturday.

Got it all planned out. I’m going to put patches 2x6oz on the trailing edges of the zinger stingers first and then 2x6oz all over.
Anyone got any better approaches to this…

Peel off acetate for the “Flying Fish” You can just see them on the hull. Thats the next bit to do then it’s ready to glass.
Joanne’s got a real steady hand, she did 2 at the same time = 4 fishies…
And what would we do without the companionship of my 2nd assistant, Rex the Wonderdog…

You might want to shave off the paint of the stringers…it will make the cloth separate and leave an ugly bubble along the stringer line.

Ive actually pigmented the stringer with black ink so it has soaked into the wood. I tried to keep the stinger clean but the blue ink seeped into them enough to warrant a rethink with ink…

That thing looks sweeeet Hicksy! I do not envy glassing those wings though! Did the blank come stringerless and you added the stringers and tailblock? I dig on the artwork too man. Howzit Skeletor, Actually glassing wings is not a big deal and Hicksy should have no problems. It’s in how you cut the glass that makes it easy.Aloha,Kokua
