.....and the twin FINS that go with it , please , Chris ?!

[.... surely you KNEW I'd ask , if you didn't post them , eh ?!  :) ]

"Royal"...some cracker boards THERE , cheers

(.....I especially loved the "Pottz" air one ! )

  cheers !

....and , please ... keep 'em comin' !!

  ben

I love twin fins! I don’t want to make another board. It’s very good for our northseawaves with low periods and height. Lot’s of speed down the line and nice rail to rail surfing.

It’s only the second board, my own hybrid hollow construction with wood and foam.

.

Sorry double post?

My first board.

5’8" x 22" x 2 3/4"

Glass on twin keels, 1/4" toe, no cant.

Can’t really say fully how well it works, casue it hasn’t been into good waves yet.

But she was fast in the shore break!

5'9'' x 21 1/2 x 2 3/4

hi Chris

"groovy fins , maaaan ! " ...did YOU make em ?

Were they spraypainted blue after foiling , or were they made from a blue pigmented panel  , mate ?

'Beery' , you woulda been [almost] proud of me today !

..... on my first wave , a head-high right , on the 6'11 with the hockey sticks and a tiny trailer [nubster I made]

...I did SIX turns , and no wipeout !!  :)

[ it was the longest, fastest wave , with no drop-ins , that I've caught for a fair while ...yewwww !!!  STOKED !]

If tomorrow is offshore with swell again , I will remove the nubster , and surf it as a 'long'  twinfin , perhaps ?

As I sit here typing this [3.37pm, thursday] , the shark siren is going off for apparently the fourth time today , though ...

  cheers

What are the basics for twin-fin layouts? Distance from tail, distance from rail, toe-in, cant, fin area…thanks!

Surfing beachies i don't often get long enough rides for more than a few turns, but when the banks line up, how much fun is a long wave?. Try the long twin fin ben, think it'd be worth a try!

Hey mate, search "twin fin placement", heaps of info there.

F*cking pc! sorry

First and only board I’ve done, so far. I love twin fins and I usually ride that board in all conditions. I’m gonna make myself a stubbier, wider, thinner and more tail rockered version eventually.

cool , Dave !

is the one in the foreground SPOONED , slightly ?

what size is that , please ?

  and

  fcs ?

  futures ?

and

what size twin FINS would you use on them ?

  cheers

Sweet sleds Feraldave!

And Beerfan, that board is just fantastic!

You're stoked Dr. Zoidberg! It's fun riding your own suff yah?

Ben, those fins were made from some blue G10 that Lavarat gave me.

After they were done, I sprayed them with some clear acrylic. I did NOT like what it did to them.

Like you mentioned, it made them look spray painted. And it's more difficult to see the foil lines.

Next ones I'll leave nude.

Prior to making myself my first mal [? in 2005?]  , I rode this Len Dibben twinny for quite a few summers.

  The thing was 6'1 x 20 1/2" x 3 1/8" [!]  ..... THICK !!!

I paid $7aus for it , at the local rubbish tip
