Cardboard Surf Boards

Hi all, I’m a newb and a relative surfing newb. I’m in land locked Ohio and so all of my surfing has been limited to wake surfing. Actually, I surfed in the ocean for the first time in San Diego over the holidays but that’s another story.

Last year I started my first surfboard building project. I built the board from Wakesurf board shipping boxes and Kroger’s shopping bags. I built an ultra light balsa wakesurf board in the September time frame and I just completed my second cardboard surfboard. The second cardboard surfboard is again built from wakesurf board shipping boxes but this time I skinned the board with Pizza Hut cardboard boxes and I used fiber glass for the first time.

This web site is so cool I thought that I’d share the build process.
