Carve it up...

Have any of you purchased the surfboard making video, “Carve It Up”? I was wondering your thoughts on its content compared to “Shaping 101”.

No I haven’t,but I will keep an eye out for it,and get back with you.THANKS,Herb.

Have any of you purchased the surfboard making video, “Carve It > Up”? I was wondering your thoughts on its content compared to > “Shaping 101”. I ordered one and watched it last night. It is not nearly as detailed nor informative as Shaping 101 or Glassing 101 BUT… Shaping and Glassing, Fin Attachment (glass-on) and Glossing are covered concisely. Shaping segment is very brief and more visual guide than detailed instruction. I thought the glassing segment was best, every board builder has their own way to approach their job so this offered some handy tips. This video briefly covers Glossing which for me was worth the cost of the video. I will say that there are some differences in quality in the product produced in this video and the board in the “101” series. You be the judge of whose board you would rather own ;} Hey! the surfing segments are pretty good too, I would truly like to see Western Australia. On another note: I just tried out Swaylock’s Classified Ad posting section. It works great! Mike, once again, great work.
