Challenger East Find in Need of Info!

So i was out and about this morning and came across this Challenger Eastern at a yard sale. Got it for a great price and was wondering if anyone knew of a time period of the board. There are no markings or serial that i could find, just a glassed on fin, t band stringer, and a wood tailblock. Any info that anyone would have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much guys!

I am also wondering if it would be worth it to pigment or paint it with an off white color and then re-hot coat it? any thoughts?

Search for the ongoing thread about Challenger Eastern. Lots of info about the label there. Original post was mis-labeled as “Eastern Surfboards”, or something.

That board looks pretty decent. It does look like it had too  much Sun exposure, so it’s pretty browned and has some foam shrinkage at the the stringer. How’s the bottom look?

I found a serial # that was very tiny on the stringer its #362 if that helps at all.

Why bother? If it’s water tight for the most part, fix the dings and ride it.

I was leaning towards just leaving it, riding it, then hanging it. Does anyone have any input onto the serial # and the year? I was thinking since it has a low serial that it was probably in the early years of the brand around 65’ or 66’ based on the other challenger thread. Thanks SammyA for your input so far!
