Channel Islands / Merric Twin

Does anyone have any feedback on the “new” Merrick fish? I had the opportunity to look at one in person for the first time yesterday and, although I was impressed overall with the board (it was 6’2" X 21.75" X ??), I immediately saw several departures from the old Dyno board (5’5" X 21.5" X 2.75") that I still have in my gagage (e.g., Dyno = rolled V throughout turning into harder V through tail, Merrick = single concave into double concave through fins and possibly V out the back (can’t remember)).

I would appreciate any thoughts on how the Merricks ride compared to the older Dyno type boards.

Thanks in advance.

I am in the works of replicating the Merrick fish, 5’10", 2.5", single to double concave but not too much V. My thought is, a lot of “v” wont be useful as there is no center fin to deflect the flow in one direction or another. I’m no expert by any means but have taken a few fluid dynamics classes (engineering). I’m sure some of the older (more experienced) people can shed some light.
