Cheap latex paint

Hey you production painters, what brand of cheap off the shelf latex flat wall paint works for regular resin boards? I have found Lowes Blue, white, work great without bleeding when the resins hits them. The yellows and reds bleed so I have to pay high dollar from the Surfsource for their yellow and reds that dont bleed. The Surfsource has found the cheap stuff that works and marks it up to $48 a gallon, regular price at lowes is $9.98. I know its interior latex flat but I cant figure out what brand and they arent gonna tell me. Anybody know cheap brands for yellow and reds that dont bleed? Liquitex in tubes or quarts suck, cost too much too, so dont tell me liquitex.

Cheap paint is no bargain in the end, high quality paint produces a better end product (Nova)…but you can always try adding product to give cheap paint a higher acrylic content and prevent bleeding. Future floor wax or smart and final acrylic floor fininsh would work.

Hey Wannabe, keep squeezin your pennies and maybe you’ll break even in the end. Everyone, who has a clue, knows that surfboard paints lack the plasticizers that relase resin-paint bond. Stick with the people who have been there or keep tryin to be cheap.

Willie, what in the hell are you talking about. Smoked some weed lately?

my question is latex is a sealant, if you are using latex in leiu of acrylic i think your compensating the boards overallstrength as the resin cannont penetrate the latex to bond to the foam. Just splurge and use nova paints, its worth the money. http://www.surfboardglassing.com
