With dial up, the files will be kinda large. If you can try and right click on them and “save as” to your computer… then when they are downloaded you can watch them off your computer.
Hicksy does most of the talking… explaining whats what and what he is doing.
I ask all the inexperienced and newbie questions
Chip is also in there making good points and giving the viewers eye candy!
I learnt a lot from watching Hicksy and so I thought these videos would be really helpful to other people as well.
There will be more videos to come from the AUSLOCKS board but for now thats all the videos i have.
Glad to hear people are watching and enjoying them!

p.s - Chips computer was totally rooted, i’m trying to fix it up for him now, so he should be back in a few days.
Yeah mate, when exams are over, we’ll film anything and everything… get it out there… there is no better way to show ppl something than video, just talking about it on here with text isn’t as good as a picture… and pictures are nothing compared to video.
When I make the mal we can video that, video the auslocks board…
so much to do, so little time with uni in the way.
We could make our own step by step videos for the full process of shaping, glassing, and any lams or paints…
does using a brush to apply the epoxy leave more on the board and therefore add extra weight to the board as opposed to one where a squeedgie was used, if it’s as simple as you make it look to glass a board i might even consider having a crack at my hollow wooden when it’s finished!
Good to hear from you mate!! I find using a brush easier because I have all the time in the world to laminate in these temps (18C).
Using the light I can see where there are thick and thin sections are in the lam and I can then spread/even the resin out to get an even spread.
After it’s set I then flatten it all out with the sander, probably take off an eighth of what’s left of the residual glass and resin then I gloss it all as a filler/gloss coat. Therefore I lose quite a bit in weight levelling and scupting the rail sections.
If things look too crappy after that I’ll sand it again and give it another gloss coat.
hey Hicksy, thanks for that info mate, so no problems with bubbles in the lam? also if you are putting two layers of glass on the deck do you let the first dry then do the second then sand and then gloss coat? got a bit more done on the hws today… hopefully if i get onto it tomoz too i’ll have some more piccies to put up.
