Chine on you crazy diamond OR Dark side of the Zoom?

10’3" x 25" x 3 5/8" double concave to vee with chined rails. Planing bottom19" at widest spot. One lb EPS foam, 1/8" stinger. Had to add extra fiblerglass top and bottom to get to my 19lb final weight. Could have made a 12-14lb board out of it easy but needed some big wave beef. Calling this a 7/10 on indestructable scale. Super stoked to try this out. I expect it to be a paddling monster. Since finishing it and feeling it up, I imagine it working well in small and large surf. Gun shape by Blane Chambers. See what next week holds in surf on the NS. Hope winds back off. Definately want to order more.

…in my opinion, that double concave nose is a candidate to near pearling; very difficult to disengage it…

I think it would be almost impossible to pearl on that board. Very nice board.

We will see. Seems to work with windsurfers, SUPs, tow boards and modern surfboards made by many NS shapers. Proven design already at waimea and the 7" nose rocker makes a huge difference. My thoughts are i will be able to use this with ankle snappers and huge swells. 25" paddling platform and a 19" planing surface. Just finished sanding it today and hope to ride it the whole remainder of the winter. With a straight up gun shape I would use it pretty much in one circumstance. This board gives me hope for all remaining surfing days of this winter. High hopes for this design.

Awesome board Charlie. I really like that bottom. Looks like it will make for a smooth ride when you have to make a long paddle to get out where you go.

Template looks nice . Chine looks to eliminate much of the area reduction in that template needed for control at speed .

Wide chine at wide point reducing area reduction  ( getting narrower, moving outward) towards the tail .  ?

What does this inner template look like ?

I like the curve in the outline.  Seems like a lot of guys get stuck in the “22 1/2” MAX" rut and end up with really stiff riding boards.  Bust it out to 25" and keep some curvature… nice job.

shout out to Blaine …He has’nt been around swaylocks in an long time.  Tell him hello from Resinhead when you see him again.
