Chipfish, SS fin placement specs....

Chip,

All fins used are futures with factory cant.

Here are the dimensions you asked for:

Rear fin: 3 5/8 in or 9 cm up from tail Fin: FT1 trailer

Side: 11"/28cm from tail, trail edge: 5 1/2"/14cm from stringer, lead edge: 5 11/16" / 14.5cm from stringer. Fin FT1

C5: 15"/38cm up from tail, trail edge: 7 1/4"/18.4 cm fromm stringer, lead edge: 7 5/16" / 18.5cm Fin: FC5

The rear fin box is 9" up from tail. you could replace the rear futures box and put in the bahne box where you want it and just use a small trailer for that type of box but you would lose the option we have discussed via PM.

Hope this wets your whistle…sorry it took me this long to get it to you!

Have had alot of success with this board and I am really enjoying it… so far range ridden effectively is ankle to head high as the 5 fin setup listed.

Take it easy!

Zosurf

thanks mate !

have you ridden it as a kneeboard yet ??

ben

p.s. - the measurements in from the rail of the front and back edges of each of the side fins would help me compare it to my 5 fin setups on my fish…

Chip,

No I haven’ t ridden it as a kneeboard. I used to go to my knees when I was first learning and it was a really bad habit.

Plus I love that board too much to throw my knees into the deck on purpose…

I’ll get you those rail to fin measurements… just off the top of my head the rear fin trailing edge is about 2" in, maybe a tad more…

[yes, us wozzies are up late this morning ! … nearly 1am Sunday here]

And, is there much angle [‘cant’] on those side fins, Paul ?

 ben

hoo hoo Nite owl…

do you have owls down there ? kookaburra’s or what are those little birds with big ass heads that look like an owl…

anyway…

fin cant is 3 degrees on the twin sidies and the c5’s are 4 degrees if I remember correctly…

going back and forth like this I feel like I’m talking to you in slow motion…

we have EVERYTHING down here…including…

pre-moulded leash loops…

…it might be the wrong thread I think, [hey c’mon…it’s 1.20am sunday now !] …but you WERE asking. Not a GREAT shot, but hopefully this gives you an idea ?

 ben

Chip,

Premoulded glass??? or premoulded plasticrap?

I forgot to ask.

Are you waiting for the sun to come up?

plasic wrap…

3 1/2 hours and counting…
