yep , 'surfaddict', like you I was thinking of taking up lawn bowls* [how did you KNOW ?! ] .
I didn't get a chance to tell you when we met in ross's shop the other day , but yes , as brother simon and brett surffoils mentioned , my computer HAS indeed died [in fact about 6 weeks ago now !]
The 'good' news is ...a mate , Dave , who I surf with occassionally , went halves with Marty . [Marty will be out of action for ages ...he , unfortunately , fractured his neck a week before christmas pulling into a dredging little pigdoggy tube , poor guy]. What they went halves in was a computer for me ...[nice eh ?! they will be getting overwhelmed by fins soon , trust me !!]
anyway , as with today , I recently managed to get on the computer here at Karrinyup library [perth , W.A.] . So , here is a copy of that post I did recently ....thanks for your concern , guys ...

I just got a chance to see this today [6th january in west oz] , as my computer died about five or so weeks ago [I'm typing this at a library ]
Well , I have been testing all the different fins I made for your twinzer [and have left the huuuge fabric inlay ones untabbed so far , as per your request ]. I HAVE ridden a 'glo' pair of the same template , however , along with a few [single-foiled] small twinzer front sideys...
Actually , it's been heaps of fun not being "computerised" for a while , as I have had the chance to surf more , get fins done , take photos , work , and , generally , enjoy the 'time off' !!
So , mate , I hope you [and everyone else here] has had a surf-filled , fun , and safe new year ....

He was quite active on Facebook also, but nothing for some time…
He’s done this before from time to time.
I pray he’s doing well and will be back when he can.
i think i remmber him saying that when he got up to 500 posts he was gona call it quits but hopefully hes just taking a little break and will be back soon
I spoke to Ben at Xmas, his computer broke and hes not interested in offers to replace it.
He says he just wants to go surfing, make fins, take photos and hang out with his brother and friends.
I sent him a webcam a while back and I'll try to get him to take a new computer, but he said hes really not interested.
He does have internet access when hes at the library tho...
I'll call him and see if he'll join us again.

spoke to Ben on his birthday, all is good, just doesn’t have a computer at home now.
He’s doing the usual, taking heaps of pix, making fins and surfing with his mates.

Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Haven’t seen you around Pig Island for a while. I spent 5 months there in 2010, worst year for surf ever, so I wasn’t keen to go back for a year or so. Spent 2011 mainly riding downhill bikes in WA and Bali, but I’m really keen for a long sojourn somewhere in Indo this year. Just waiting for the wet season to end.
What are your plans. You do have a lifestyle that I envy.

No plans just yet, apart from a vague desire to spend the winter away from stinkin’ Pig Island where there are very rarely any good waves.
