It was inspired by a shot in a 'Surfer Photo Annual' , from the 1970s , of an empty righthander reeling off under a full moon , in New Zealand .
It has literally taken me YEARS of trying , to get this image ...no clouds to obscure the moon , the right light , swell, banks [shape] , winds , tide , angle , camera ...

but some interesting clouds and [very rare !] glassy mornings ....the calm before the storm ... there is , at the moment , a "dissipating cyclone" , up north ... we will have to wait and see what will happen , eh ?!]
I want to get in touch with herb , as there is a new huuuge halfpipe he has been skating , east of here , and with the'go pro' in the 3 shot 'burst' setting , I reckon I might be able to get a few good skating photos again ! [it's been a LONG time !]

I am still LOVING this quad setup !

somewhere along the line , the matching fin to this got lost [?!] , so I've thickened it up and will lightly foil it on the built-up side , so it will now become a 'Wildy' template back / trailer fin ...
