Now I’ve heard it banded around that it’s all been done before…and on that note Bill Thrailkill has been shaping ‘choptails’ since the 60’s…he even sent me a template for a 7’10" single fin sporting a compleely square tail…sort of like a pin with the last 6" chopped off about 7 years ago…he even understands the hydrodynamics…

marketing guys and pro surfers lead the masses.........no new ideas in this thread......Stingray......Mini Simmons have wide tails.....so do most early 80's boards..........
