Just saw on MSN a guy described as a US athelete getting towed in to huge waves at Maui, theres a video but little details.
Juat goes to show that for all the detail in design, simple solves the riddle quite nicely.

Reminds me of when we used to used to twin ski along Mullaloo Beach with 200' of rope behind a 4WD in the late 70s.
