CI MSF Pics Anyone?

Sweet looking board. Anyone have any full on pics?

I guess you already accessed the CI catalog thru the net…

can’t seem to save it…

those boards are so cool!

Hey 220,

if you want the picture of it you can do two things:

  1. Get a CI catalogue / "bro"chure from your local surfshop and scan it in or look at it.

  2. Use the web browser cache to steal the pics . . . . clear the cache in your web browser (IE, tools, internet options, general → delete files button) . . . if you’re using firefox its under the options menu for that . . .

then open up the catch (IE click settings button next to delete files button), then view files button . . . look for a boards.swf file . . . (may need to turn on file extensions if you’re using windows or mac).

grab the swf file. It is flash. You can open it up in IE, and use a screen capture program (I use snag 32) to pull pics from it or edit using Flash developor software like Macromedia Flash 8 or Flash MX 2000

If you want to get an outline of it . . . go to a surfshop and examine the boards . . . usually they are cool and will let you snag templates (bring your 24" wide and 7’ long roll of paper).

if they are pricks, go to a large shop like surfride or ron jon’s . . . have a few friends run interference (ask questions to the shop employees), have another friend bring in the paper, and template it out.

Get the rocker first and fin positions. Then the outline, rockers probably more important.

I wish the idea would work, but in flash translations, the outlines are off. A buddy of mine tried to copy the FLYER into cad from the CI site . . . no dice. I hand copied the rocker from my new Flyer, and it was off . . .

Hey Hiro,

You’re absolutly right. The only way to get (practicality being an issue) an accurate template is to straight up copy it of of a board. I’m surprised though that the rockers were different…but I wouldn’t doubt it. Using cache to get the pics is genius.

Anyways, 'found some single fin pics…

Here are some photos of my 6’9" MSF that i converted to a bonzer. I can’t tell you how much faster this board is now that it is a bonzer, it holds such a high line and when you want to really speed it it just starts flying…I surfed it in head high beach break this week and it is crazy how you can get into waves and just take off.

so would this be a double concave with a vee out the back?

or is it just double concave?

or just vee?
