Has anybody shaped one of these? I’m wondering how it would work for an all around sorta board for central Cal summer surf. Thinking of doing a 9’6" and maybe adding a bit of rocker to both ends. What do you folks think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Scott.
sounds like the genisis of the next greatest surf board in the history of mankind as we know it Be there dont let the inspiration fade as with every one of the insatiable surf board design dreams in our collective heads this has the potential of being The ONE,speaking as a man with the “surfboard disease” and a shed fulla blanks and only ten boards short of satisfaction You make me wanna order one or two of them 9’8" stewies just to see what happens when the planer tastes it… ooooooooooooooo baby .YES make this your best board to date shape it today glass it tonight. it will be plagerized by a commercial entity soon enough . let you inner shaper run free aloha from waipouli ambrose
I used quite a few of the 9’8"s blanks, but as of late, I’ve noticed that the right rail about 3 -4 feet back from the nose has a noticable dip. I didn’t see this when I first started using the blank, the mold could be breaking down (unlikely with Clark’s concrete molds) or multiple molds and the plugs had degenerated. It has good thickness flow, unlike the 9’7"b.
