on the master glasser pics you are doing that way cool blue white splash! > is that on to the foam or when you are glassing the top deck?>>> thanks That board has a yellow opaque bottom…cut laps. The blue abstract is a 3/4 deck patch that I taped off, after it cured for a while I trimmed it with a razor blade and then glassed the deck (clear).I used to do a lot of boards like this but with a full deck patch (inlay)…yellow and orange look really good. Roger - I’m liking that deck patch too. Do you have any tips on preventing bleed when you do the full length layup (colors mixed hot?)? (I know, I know, I should buy the f!#ing tape!) Is it out yet? Looks good in the gallery.

I hold the razorblade vertical to get a clean edge when cutting the bottom lap.Lightly sand with small sanding block. The first layer of tape is 1/2 inch and I press it down over the edge with the end of a tongue blade.Use 233 3m tape.Lay the other layers down. The main thing is to cut the inlay before the resin cures to much (barely jelled).By doing this you can clean up any bleeds with acetone and a white terry cloth hand towel.Be carefull pulling the tape as strings can pull up the still soft glass.A pinline will kill out the transition. The tape aint out yet. Later…R. Brucker
