is there a place in the US that does the cloth printing like dave from diverse has?
There is a special silky polyester cloth that can be printed with an inkjet printer. Most large format inkjet output service bureaus will know about it. Check this link out: http://www.rolanddga.com/products/accessories/media/detail/detail.asp?t=&id=19
i dont think that the cloth they have mentioned there at roland can be saturated with resin. its also important that the inks are styrene fast, as in they dont run as the resin is reacting! and to answer your questions josh… i have done around 1000 boards this year and about 40 have been with those printed inserts. i think you can weigh up if you have time to airbrush something individual then do it and keep the $200… if your flatout and only have an hour to spare then get it printed. i only get a markup of $30-50 bucks when i do one of these so… http://www.feraldave.com
