Wow, its identical to a Bisect…and the designer is getting some sort of credit for this innovation.
Are there any scruples left in this world?
I opened this thread fully expecting to see a photo of a regular shortboard’s deck with a 4oz glass job.
That’s a collapsible surfboard under my heavy feet.
Too many bits for me but that is a beautiful looking board. Black is the new black!
I thought Mr Pope was very protective about his IP
I’m sure this artist will be getting a call soon.
pretty stupid as you can google and check just about anything these days
Can you actually pull it apart down to these smaller bits??
The fin system looks interesting…
Craftee, I agree, Mr Pope will chew his bum off!!!
Would his patent not have run out by now?
Is this the same board that a NSW year 12 student designed as a major school project ? Seem to recall that somewhere.
Cheers

My mate Angus Honey is a bit of a freak…
He developed a system with which one could convert a standard poly into a bisect and even produced the components in kit form. On launching the product he demonstrated the installation method on a brand-new LSD - Circular saw and surfboards are not supposed to go together.
I watched him surf one at Winki a few years ago…no apparrent loss of performance from the rigid join…or at least not for Gus at top speed! hmmm…
I imagine he had a seriously difficult time convincing customers it was a good idea to cut their boards in half, and he disappeared…probably to use the bisectable boards for his intended purpose as a wave hunter deep in South America with the pieces in a boogie-board bag on his back while riding his motorcycle.
Gus my man, are you out there?
