Con Butterfly

New guy here

I have a 68 or 69 Con Iron Butterfly Morpheus , its 7ft 2 inches, has the Guidance Systems fin and box. I bought the board in 1973 here in Phoenix at a yard sale for less than $20 (I was a poor kid then).

I used it to surf at Big surf and tow it behind ski boats at the local lakes. I have a few questions

 1) Whats is worth? Is it too rare/valuable to surf? Its not for sale ever. I keep my stuff, hell I still have my 69 Dodge Super Bee 440 Six Pack that I bought when I was 16 (Im 51 now)

2) It has no leash, will putting a plug in it hurt its value?

3) It needs repairs, mostly nose and tail, to make it watertight. Can anyone recommend a good shop preferably in San Diego or OC that I can drive to to drop it off.

4) Repair or restore?

Please help, thanks, Dave

Judging from the photo, it’s in very good shape for a board its age. Please, no leash-plug in this one! Yes, it will considerably decrease its value. But I’m afraid I can’t estimate it rightly.

Contact The people at Moonlight Glassing in san Marcos. They may or may not do repairs,  If they don't but they should know who would in the San Diego area.
