FD… the 1.2 mm?
Vac bagged or hand lam with what oz under/over EPS, Pink Poly or other?
Getting ready to play with some myself.
Buoyant w/12 lb. density… hmmm.
nice dave. i did a deck the other day with spray contact. worked perfect
PC,
3M Spray adhesive? EPS or Poly core?
I loved that historical pictorial you posted on cork awhile back.
Wow that is really cool!Is the cork glassed?
porn!
Boards look great Dave!
Nice boards Dave!!!
I have almost finished my first exposed cork deck SUP. I noticied when I use peel ply with my vacuum pulls I get a great exposed cork consistency with no epoxy pooling.
Pic of under the skin futures SUP handle.
Thats really beautiful work from Dave, just brilliant.
How do they ride ?
Very nice!!
You are living the Dream, I would take the Mr Bean Corkage.
Well, the ride make a EPS feel like a pu… in some things. it seems to take the chatter out but has all the spring of a eps… so all good reports on the ride…
on the Sups we do it gives the guys much less fatigue,
some of the pics the cork has resin over, some of the decks are exposed…resin over feels much more like pu and is great for tradional heavier feeling boards but stuill having pop… exposed is good for not needing wax, frequent traveelers not wanting to change waxes and just feels real nice to ride…
Nice one lakewakes, that’s the first cork board I’ve seen that aesthetically looks reasonable, rather than like a great big sausage. I think the white rails and the black pin lines are the key, as all cork is just too much from an aesthetic point of view.
Cool stuff!
I really want to try the exposed cork deck on a performance shortboard. Thinking of a built-in arch-bar and tail kick too, so I don’t have to put a trak-pad on it. I’m sure Drewtang is up for it
I’m really liking the ride of my cork decked board.
Cool to see you cranking so many of them out.
