Its my first trip. I was just wondering if anyone else would be there as well. Ill be staying in Jaco.
You should try and check out some other areas. Jaco is pretty crowded and not the best break. Still fun though.
I am willing to go to extremes to get an empty beach and a good break. Any suggestions?
Check out http://blewdogs.com/ Stayed at this place two years ago. It was really cheap and chill. Hit it good on waves, big rollers overhead but really depends on if you get a good swell or not. Nicoya Peninsula such a pain in the a@# to get to, people tend to stay closer to the airport. So that means less people in the water out there. too. Still pretty tough to get to. Check out Mal Pais too. More developed but nothing like Jaco.
Or check out Esterillos if Nicoya Peninsula is too far away. Just south of Jaco and pretty chill. Just below Hermosa. Hollower waves in Hermosa and more people. Musher waves in Esterillos but less people.
