After getting some great waves this morning at Cron on my put back together 7’ m-13 I dropped off my friend at his house. He has had some broken boards in his front yard for over a year. I started looking at two pieces and had a vision. The carver was from my french friend (El Cheapo) and the m-13 is from my south african friend (Mr Grumbly). I cleaned up the pieces and glued the rocker jig (wooden dowells) with rubber tile glue(epoxy). Then I sprayed some PU foam and dug out an old logo. This is what happens when my wife takes the kids out for the day on the weekend (Idle Hands).

Two hours later I am waiting for it to set up. And picture of rocker tool.

I did something like that a while ago.
There’s a pic of the outcome here:

At least your two halves were the same width, more or less! Have fun with it!!!
it looks like there is some kind o’ reaction between the two kinds of boards
perhaps biological.
is this a common occurence when there are northwest winds in marin?
were there any spores evident in the area after the hour of contact were up?
If so what color were the spores?
…ambrose…
I had aa rusty car that exhibited the same
foaming,I treated it with krylon.
not that anything less than epozy will help this union
I swear I did not inhale!! Those spores (spray foam) are bad news. After sanding it felt like 1/2 lb foam. Crap!! Next time I will use GG glue or TAP 4lb pour foam like the Board Lady said. I am going cheap and dirty on this one just to test some ideas. Today I sealed with the creeping evil and then five minute epoxy cut with denatured alcohol. Then I preped and glassed with UV poly resin(yes I care a lot). Now the spores are this color.
Now I need to bondo and sand down to1200 grit? Oooops I mean put a leash on and surf.
