Cutting glass for swallow tail

What is the best way to cut the glass for a free lapped swallowtail. I will make relief cuts "V"s on the points of the tail but how should i cut the glass for the actual V in the tail itself.

This might not be the best/most appropriate way but I always add a little strip of glass right down the middle of the V. This way I know I have all the foam covered. If you make sure it is covered well you don’t have to worry about doing it when you glass the top. I just grind down the excess. http://members.cox.net/austinsurfboards/

Howzit Soulslider, I do a straight cut to the stringer. After the bottom and top are laid up, fill the area on the deck with a piece of glass . On the bottom just run the center fin patch all the way to the tail to fill. Aloha, Kokua

when you cut your v wedge on the tips dont cut all the way to the foam leave like a quarter inch of cloth between the v in the cloth and your foam tips This will make sure that the corners get covered with cloth and resin. also make your v cut over towards the rail. When you do this the extra cloth will lay off the rail and after it kicks just trim with a razor blade.this will leave you with very little to sand
