CUTTING PU BLANKS IN HALF

… for fancy curves stringers done with a jigsaw or hole saw , it’s advisable to plane the bottom dead flat before cutting , to keep everything accurate and symmetrical on both the bottom and on the deck… nothing looks more dodgey that asymetrical glue-ups on symetrical boards

ALL blanks are split with a bandsaw, I cut blanks EVERYDAY on my bandsaw, cut stringer OUT with my bandsaw, fine tooth blade angled at the stringer, it will not get a bite on the wood.  3 blade jointer that Cleanlines set me up with 40 years ago, one pass and it’s ready for glue

**kayu and jim have it right the jointer is your best freind
