Dale Solomonson, crafter of Neumatic Surfcraft, endured a moderate heart attack on Saturday, October 7, 2006. He has undergone related surgery and is recovering in a Corvallis, Oregon, hospital. If all continues as expected he should return home perhaps early this week.
His wife, Mary, wanted to get the news out to Dale’s many friends and customers (with Dale I suspect all his customers wind up as friends even if they didn’t start that way). As this is sudden and unexpected it will probably take some time to sort out. Some rest and recovery time will obviously be necessary for Dale, so those with surfmat orders please continue to be patient. This quite literally is a case of better late than never.
Updates will be posted as new information becomes available or until such time as Dale resumes riding the Digital Divide.
Pass on my best wishes too, Dales’s been nothing but a true gentleman here and in emails that passed between us a while back. I hope he feels good and gets back in the water (real and ‘digital’) as soon as possible.
whoa! we were e-mailing back and forth on friday, then for some reason he didn’t return my last message to him .now i know why.take her easy dale and get your health back my friend…
Hi Nels – Thanks for informing the community of Dales situation. With great medical advancements, and diet/exercise changes, a lot of people can turn events like this into a positive turn around. Let’s hope that Dale can turn this one around!!
Wow…My thoughts and prayers to Dale and his family. Knowing Dale, he was probably yapping at the cardiologist about some improvements he has in mind for stints as they put him under…
Dale… So sorry I’ve missed you. Off the jet and into the classroom, you can guess. I am hurtin’ for you brother. I’ll check in soon. With love Dale - Taylor
Passing the hat for a bro in time of need only seems right.
As most of us know, Dale is the real deal. Works hard, doesn't ask for nothing from nobody. I guarantee he isn't going to be asking for any help around here.
A little cash discreetly placed in an envelope might help the missus buy some groceries or pay some bills while Dale is on the mend.
Spoke w/ Dale this a.m. on tele. It was a near miss but he is doing well. Should be home if not today, within a couple. Prospects are excellent for full recovery.
