Can a regular “mylar-plastic-type” decal be used on the foam surface under a typical glass job? I think it would work as long as the ink was water based. Or, does it have to be something like lam paper to absorb the resin and adhere properly? Any thoughts on this, or anyone doing this?

NO STICKERS,the resin WILLNOT bond to the mylar, and the mylar has a good chance of melting down and shriveling up on you.To add insult to injury, the glue on the sticker will cause further complications by not letting the resin dry in the area of the sticker, causing futher delamination, and other assorted problems.Herb.
no way, man! as Herb stated it would only turn a good blank into disaster. the only reliable thing to print on is rice paper, the guys @ fiberglasssupply sell it in sheets that are printable on some laser printers, but for best results silkscreened logos are the top. You’ll spend a few bucks but your logo will look awesome under glass job. obviously choose a fine logo before printing it.
