deck delam around FCS area

Picked up a 6'2*22.25*2.75 quad (5 FCS set up) for a  $100 of a friend down the beach this morning. Rode it straight away - in  clean 1ft I was hooked - super quick, and super easy to turn for a board that big. I can see myself jumping back and forth betweeen my 9'1 and this real easy. Board on appearence is above average. Got home and cleaning the wax of noted a decent delam around one of the side fins (on the deck around the top of the plug) - a pretty decent delam...(but for 100 im not complaing.) Having read a bucket load on delam fix's im hoping to get away from cutting the section out and going through the motions.

CAN I get awy with injecting into the delammed area and weighting down the existing glass to rebond the delaminated area? maybee use a q-cell slurry and pour it in through?

If possibale i want to avoid glassing and rejoining so close the the rail...

when does a  bargain mean not a bargain..

To answer my own question no!

Cut the are out needed and found damaged foam - it has flaked off - so back to the proper way i go

good boy.I was immediately winding up to saying somthing caustic and scarcastic

like, ‘’ just duck tape a 4 oz lead sinker to the deck’’

but I am glad you redeemed yourself and

are dooing the right thing.

Proud I am of your choice .

integrity is the sum of choices.

…ambrose…

bee check the fin plugs/ boxes. there might be a leak.
