Hi. Can someone give me some tips on plaining the sringer on the deck side of the blank where the nose rocker starts and on up. I have the most difficult time getting it planed just right. I have tried small block planes, arced ones too. Thank Ben.

Try turning your small baby block plane on an angle so the blade is taking a diagonal cut down the length of the stringer in the nose area. “Shaping 101” shows some great examples of this.

I have that video and I have tried using the plane at all ways possible even sharpening the blade. I am going to try a spoke shave. thanks ben
