definition of a fish

would someone correct me if i’m wrong- a singlefin swallowtail is not a fish. this guy is trying to convince me that a 6’8" singlefin swallow is a fish. a true fish is two fins, swallow tail, short, wide and stubby. they can be ridden as well kneeling as standing up, the trad. ones. this is correct right?
