Im finally in the process of building a legit shop and have found a gentleman locally who is selling this air cleaning unit for $100. He tells me it is rated at 650 CFM. I have a shaping room at 14’ x 9.5’ x 9’ tall. Any one have any thoughts or experience with this type of unit? Seems to be in great condition and a fair deal…

I have the Jet unit which is comparable and would recommend it. I use mine primarily in my wood shop and though it’s mounted lower than the prescribed height - check the specs as they usually recommend it be mounted at least 7’ high and above - it lessens the dust considerably.
Keep the filters clean - there’s one inside and one out. Sometimes I’ll just run a vacuum over the exterior filter for an interim cleaning. Make sure it has a remote. Can be a tad noisy on high speed.
$100 for a healthier work space is worth it.

Thanks for the response fellas. It has been well taken care of and has the manual and extra filters. My plan is to hook up my planer to a shop vac with a slinky hose. I think this will filter 80% of the bulk dust and leave this air cleaner to handle the fines. I just do not recall seeing a set up like this on Sways…Im hoping this unit is not to big hanging over my shaping stands as I have not seen it in person yet.
