Has anyone surfed a Dempsey channel bottom board?

A friend saw one in a shop in Devon whilst on a weekend away and can bring it for me back to Wales. I will only have time for a phone conversation with the shop before having to make a decision to buy or not. At this stage I am assuming it is by Tony Dempsey, Australia. Anyone seen any Dempsey channel bottom boards and is he well known for this type of board?

Any comments with first or secondhand experience or purely anecdotal welcome?

PS I found these links to Tony Dempsey. No mention of channel bottoms but sounds well qualified and respected. Excuse my ignorance.

Bump. My post is in danger of slipping off the first page. I Just got an email back from Josh Dowling aka Speedneedle. Thanks it is a Tony Dempsey board from Australia. My mate is checking it over again. Never seen a 6 channel board so I wanted to go for one made by someone with the knowledge to make a good one.  Anyone interested in pictures/ride report if I get it? Not sure we will have a big enough swell before summer smaller waves set in though.
